                                The Snake Pendant

 I glanced down at my dazzling red snake pendant and remembered my Grandma's last words to me, "On your tenth birthday you need to go to the clock in your bedroom." She lowered a necklace around my neck and said, "Make sure you wear this necklace, for it will protect you from harm."
So here I was waiting in front of the clock when I felt myself being spun into the air. When I landed my breath caught in my throat because I landed in front of a younger version of my Grandma who cycled towards me. Before I knew what happened...
